Stuck on Page 2. Bleeding Traffic to Spammy Links.

DRPC.org is a blockchain infrastructure company in the fintech space — a highly competitive niche where ranking on the first page can mean the difference between capturing a developer audience or losing them to a competitor forever.

When they came to us, the situation was clear: their most important pages were stuck on page 2 and 3 of Google. The main culprit was their existing backlink profile — a mix of spammy, low-quality links that were actively undermining their authority rather than building it. They weren't struggling to get links. They were struggling to get the right links to the right pages.

Starting point: DR 56, 571 monthly organic visitors, vital pages ranking on pages 2–3. Existing backlink profile contaminated with spammy links. Target keywords underperforming despite a strong product.

The goal was precise: clean up the link strategy, build high-authority relevant links to the specific pages that needed ranking boosts, and move those pages to page one — ideally into the top 3 positions.

In fintech and blockchain, link quality matters more than almost any other niche. Google scrutinises these sites carefully. One wrong link can do more damage than ten good ones can fix. The strategy was therefore built entirely around quality, relevance and page-level targeting.

Full review of DRPC's existing backlink profile. Identified the spammy, low-quality links that were diluting their authority and flagged them for disavow. Mapped each vital page to understand its current link equity and what was holding it back.

Rather than building links to the homepage and hoping authority trickled down, I mapped each underperforming page to its target keyword and built a specific link plan for each one. Every link was assigned to a specific page before outreach began.

The organic traffic chart tells the clearest story — a consistent, upward trajectory from November through March, driven entirely by the improved authority of pages that previously couldn't break out of page 2. DRPC is now ranking #1 for "drpc", #1 for "fantom api", and position 5 for "polygon rpc url" — all highly competitive blockchain infrastructure keywords.

What This Engagement Proved

The right links to the right pages beat random link building every time. DRPC didn't need more links — they needed strategic, page-level targeting that sent authority exactly where Google needed to see it.
In competitive niches like fintech and blockchain, link quality is not optional. A DR 59 average on 78 placements matters far more than 200 links from irrelevant or low-quality sites.
Toxic links are a real drag on performance. Cleaning up the existing profile was as important as building new links — removing the anchor that was holding pages back allowed the new links to have maximum impact.
Link insertions in aged content often move rankings faster than new guest posts. Several of DRPC's fastest ranking improvements came from insertions in already-indexed, already-ranking articles — not from freshly published guest posts.
3–4 months is achievable for significant ranking movement when the strategy is precise. Broad, unfocused link building takes longer because it dilutes authority. Page-level targeting concentrates it.
